The EPC2016 Committee suggest flights into the UK come in to either Manchester Airport or Liverpool John Lennon Airport.  Details on how to get from these airports are below:

Travel from Manchester Airport to Liverpool City Centre

To get to Liverpool from Manchester Airport you can either take the train from the airport railway station to Liverpool Lime Street train station or by taxi.

The train costs around £17.60 for a return trip to/from Liverpool.  The trains run every 30 minutes during peak times between Manchester Airport Station and Liverpool Lime Street Station.  Please see the following websites for update train information:

Black ‘hackney’ cab taxis are also available from all airport terminals, for ease of travel either to or from the airport.

Fares for any journey taken inside the Manchester Licensed Area will be shown on the meter inside the taxi, while for destinations listed outside Manchester there is no requirement for the driver to use the taxi meter to determine the fare.

A published tariff of maximum fares is displayed at taxi ranks, and your driver will advise you of the fare (which is negotiable) before beginning the journey.  Please note that black cabs are more expensive than the private hire companies.
